The Pirate Trail of Inistioge 2-ink, originally uploaded by Alé Mercado.
Image for the Pirate Trail of Inistioge. An initiative to raise awareness of the pirate past of this picturesque location. Some of the most famous pirates of the XVII century were from Inistioge or its surrounding parishes. Some of their descendants are still living in the area.
The image is part of a very limited series of 13 (two ink version) and 8 (one ink version) linocut printed in 120gsm paper

I was invited this weekend to help in an illustration workshop for teenagers held by the Cork City Library given by Spanish Designer Martí Sáiz.
It was fantastic and I really enjoyed it.
Such a great opportunity for young people who are considering this career path to have a taste of it!
